The 1109th Theater Aviation Support Maintenance Group of the Connecticut Army National Guard has been in Kuwait and Afghanistan since October 2015 for rotary wing maintenance as part of NATO’s Resolute Support Mission, a mission to train and advise troops in Afghanistan as part of our counter-terrorism efforts. After a 10-month deployment to the Middle East on Friday, and the soldiers couldn’t be happier to be reunited with their families.
