“Eddie came home from his deployment, and we drove to Mississippi to surprise his family at his dad’s Air Force retirement ceremony! They thought he would not be home to make it and were totally surprised and happy!”
“We are so proud of our kids. The times that my husband is gone, our kids are so strong and don’t complain about anything. This deployment has been a bit harder on them due to us moving to a different town and new house without their dad, John, being around. While he was gone, we worked on our new house, trying to make it perfect for the first time that “daddy” would see it. They made posters and cards. We even have a “flat daddy” that goes to all the important events with us, like the first day of school, the first soccer game and so on. My kids are so strong, and this video really shows how they build up their emotions until that second when they finally let it all out. They just went limp and gave into the crying and daddy’s arms. It was so special to watch, as a mother and an army wife.
My husband has been in the Army for 16 years. He is currently working as an Embedded International Trainer and is attached to Delta CO 2-35 Infantry in the Kunar Province of Afghanistan. Although he is not currently deployed as a soldier, he works with them every day and is part of their team. John loves his country and is extremely dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces. We really appreciate that you post these videos, as they show the sacrifices that we Americans make every day.”

“Our kids knew their daddy would be home for R&R soon, but they didn’t know how soon. Here is their reaction that I just had to share!”
