U.S. Army Soldier Surprises His Children and Mother at Airport

May 01, 2012

“Because of the nature of my husband’s job, it was unsure if he was going to get R&R leave at all. When he called to say he was, we thought it best not to tell the kids in case something changed. We were going to the airport to pick up my mother-in-law, but the kids had no idea their favorite person in the world was also there. After their surprise, my husband also surprised his mom. She was flying in to visit my children and had no clue that he had been given R&R. It was great to watch her get her arms around her son!”

U.S. Marine Surprises Mom at Work for Christmas 2011

April 30, 2012

Gerald Morales gave his mom, Stephanie, the best Christmas present she could imagine. Gerald is a Marine stationed in Japan, and he and his mother hadn’t seen each other in more than a year.

With the help of his siblings and his mom’s coworkers, they hatched a plan and made up a fake meeting for her to attend. Once there, Gerald came around the corner and, as you can see, it was quite a moment.

High School Senior Surprised by Her U.S. Soldier Father on Stage in Front of Packed Auditorium

April 26, 2012

“Where to begin… My husband, MSG Joseph Devine (U.S. Army) returned last Thursday, March 15, 2012 after serving one year in Afghanistan. We have 2 of our 3 children still living at home with us and, as you can imagine, a deployment hits kids the hardest. This year has been painful beyond words, and the worst part has been holding my kids as they cry themselves to sleep at night, missing their most amazing daddy. My kids are heroes, just like their dad!

Anyway, after our 7-year-old son greeted his dad at the airport, we had a different kind of surprise in store for our amazing 18-year-old daughter, who is a senior in high school. She is the captain of her speech team and, after having just completed her 10-minute speech, we had her daddy come on stage to surprise her! She is daddy’s only little girl, always will be, and boy did it show. We are all really just starting to be whole again after being without our #1 guy this last year. I hope you enjoy the video and my less than stellar recording ability! :-)
