Devoted war veteran father read to his daughter every night despite speech stutter

For Army veteran Lance Lambert, the two terms that he served in Iraq were a challenge but fall short in comparison with his lifelong struggle with his stutter. Even though his stutter causes him much frustration and makes him depressed, Lance doesn’t mind struggling through story time for his daughter Avery.

“It’s a very difficult and frustrating, but I’m her dad and this is what dads do,” Lance told Daily Mail. “I actually apologized to her for having a father that stuttered, but she told me it was okay and made her love me more.”

With a daughter so loving, he has all of the encouragement to help inspire others!
