Army Staff Sergeant Juan Grisales had been away from his wife and son, Alexander, for the last year on a deployment in Africa. Though the time apart brings about an unshakable heartache, the reunions always brings relief. But this reunion brought more than relief to Ssgt. Alexander. As he waited outside his son’s classroom he heard his second grader speaking to his class about how Ssgt. Grisales is a community leader and that made him proud.
