Marine veteran goes from homeless to employed college graduate

After posting a picture on LinkedIn one man never imagined he’d get more than 120,000 likes and more than 8,000 comments, mostly thanking him for sharing his story.

7-year Marine veteran Zachary Cleghorn went from struggling with PTSD and depression while living out of his car, to being the first college graduate in his family and working as college instructor.

Now Zachary works at Pitt Community College in Winterville, NC helping others find jobs. He shows the same amount determination for those he helps as he has for himself.

One of Zachary’s college adviser and Air Force veteran, James Ward told USA Today that “Zack has a hardworking mentality that connects with the people he deals with every day. He doesn’t give up. He’s persistent.”
