Soldiers returning from Afghanistan break down once they reunite with loved ones

While serving in Afghanistan for 10 months, Army First Lieutenant Megan Putze and Sergeant Shaylee Payden stayed levelheaded. But once they entered the terminal where their families were waiting, these women were overpowered with emotion.

“Words cannot describe. It’s so exciting seeing my family. I’m just missing my husband. He just deployed over there last month, so he’s got eight months ahead prior to me coming home,” Putze told News On 6.
