Marine mom clings to her kindergartner after surprising him with early homecoming

A kindergartner at Stony Creek Elementary School in Indiana will cherish this past Veterans’ Day for the rest of his life.

For the past eight months United States Marine Staff Sergeant Mariah Singleton served as intel analyst in hidden locations. But she couldn’t stay hidden for long from her kids and especially not from her 5-year-old, Cameron.

With both parents serving in the Marines and away on duty, Cameron and his little brother, Quincy know more about sacrifice than most kids their age. The suffering and heartbreak that comes along with that sacrifice was about to subside.

Stunned by her early return, it took Cameron a moment to realize that his mom was indeed home. But quickly after there were kisses galore as they clung to each other in adoration.
