A member of the Texas Longhorns female softball team was surprised over the weekend when her brother made a surprise visit in Austin.
In a case of putting the “Aww” in “Austin,” Army Sergeant La’Kedran Hayter surprised Ki’Audra “Kay Kay” Hayter at the Senior Day softball game, flying all the way from Okinawa, Japan.
Ms. Hayter was not expecting an appearance from her brother, who had previously sent a message to be played on the video board during the Senior Day game.
“I just wanted to tell you congratulations, I’m proud of you,” he said. “I really wish I could be there tonight, there’s no place I’d rather be. Good luck on tonight’s game, and I’ll see you very soon.”
According to KVUE, however, his presence was much larger than that of the “jumbotron.”
As soon as Hayter turned around, her brother was there to face her. It was the first time they had seen each other in several years.
Family is everything.
Kay Kay Hayter's brother, Army sergeant La’Kedran Hayter, is currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Today, he surprised @Queen_Kay05 on her senior day in Austin.
